Facebook Audience Targeting Guide & Ad Checklist
With a growing number of apparel, jewelry, and accessory businesses diving into Facebook ads, I wanted to give out my Facebook Audience Targeting Guide to help your business increase sales.
Even if you’ve been running Facebook advertisements for years, you may have missed out on a few of these quick wins. This is one of the best ways to get new customers for your business, simply create these audiences we are about to share with you inside your Facebook Business Manager Account.
To expand on the audiences shared in this article, plug them into your Facebook Audience Insights tool to get more detail on the demographic and page interests.
Let’s get started...
What is a Facebook Custom Audience?
A Facebook Audience is a group of people you placed in an imaginary bucket. It would be people from your list or a group of people interested in a similar company on Facebook. These are people you have decided to organize together so you can place advertisements in front of them and turn them into customers.
These audiences are both free and paid. Meaning some may be complete strangers, and others may be from your email list which you had to run lead ads to build.
The importance of separating these audiences with your ads is crucial. Why would you want to show an ad of camo men's tank tops to preppy young girls? Another great example is Why would you want to show a discount offer to someone who just purchased? This is why these audiences are so important.
1. Uploading Your Email List For Facebook Audience Targeting
The best audience to start with is your email list. Simply upload your list inside Facebook Business Manager to be able to target them with ads. These people opted into seeing your ads of course.
When uploading your email list consider splitting into a few different segments:
- People purchased
- People who haven't purchased
- People who have purchased multiple times
The next 7 audiences are just are as important.
